D. Gilson is an Assistant Professor of English at Texas Tech University. His essays, poetry, and scholarship explore the relationship between popular culture, literature, personal history, and sexuality.

His books include I Will Say This Exactly One Time: Essays and Crushwith Will Stockton. His first chapbook, Catch & Release, won the 2012 Robin Becker Prize from Seven Kitchens, and his second, Brit Lit, is available from Sibling Rivalry Press. D. currently serves as editor of the journal Lunch and lives in Lubbock with his dog, Calvin.
