D. Gilson is Assistant Professor of English at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. His essays, poetry, and scholarship explore the relationships between popular culture, literarture, personal history, and sexuality. He holds a PhD in American literature and cultural studies from George Washington University and an MFA in creative nonfiction and poetry from Chatham University.

His latest books are I Will Say This Exactly One Time: Essays (Sibling Rivalry, 2015) and Crush (Punctum Books, 2014) with Will Stockton. D. edited a special issue of Upstart: A Journal of English Renaissance Studies called Out of Sequence: The Sonnets Remixed. His first chapbook, Catch & Release, won the 2012 Robin Becker Prize from Seven Kitchens, and his second, Brit Lit, is available from Sibling Rivalry. D. currently serves as editor of the journal Lunch.
